Roar is a song about Triumph over loss. It's an uplifting song, and is definitely more darker than any of the songs off Teenage Dream.

You can't honestly tell me it sounds like anything on Teenage Dream, because it doesn't.

And even if you wanna say it does, it's only one song. Rihanna's "dark" era also had the #1 Radio Smash Rude Boy, a song about a man's co*k size being big enough to satisfy her.

Rather listen to a dated song at least its original rather than to a Madonna like song and a Kate Bush inspired video.
