In the Fame & Monster era Lady Gaga came out with fresh, new and innovative tunes. Her look was interesting, and yes some of her ideas were controversial. These days Gaga has pushed further and further into the realms of creating controversy to boost her hype, my question is, has this affected her music and her appeal.
Born this way was an inconsistent album, and no where near as catchy,clever or fun as The Fame. Do you think this will continue in Artpop or will Gaga keep trying to push cultural and social boundaries?
At times I do think she's trying hard not fit the mold that's currently being delivered by the industry. However, all of her attempts at trying to be different and unique seemed sincere and not forced (just for the heck of doing it to stand out). I would rather have an artist that tries to push her boundaries rather than someone who stay safe and gets boring quickly.

But to answer honestly, I think she made it clear that The Fame was just to win the GP over so she could gain a platform to be political. Her messages changed but I don't think it isn't genuine.
In my opinion, it feels like she's actually trying to hold back, or at least used to try. Her stuff gets progressively "weirder" and more different, and with the "Aura" leak it honestly sounds like she just let it all out with this record and like this is 100% the real her. Just an opinion, of course.
The thirst. The thing is that Nicki actually listens to her fans and has completely stopped being weird, YOU need to look elsewhere cause your faves is getting weirder and weirder every era to the point of going completely nude. Seethe.
