I don't even think it could be payola. I think they literally just believe the public won't complain about a JT song (especially since it fits in with the recent trends). I mean, Right Now has just as much AI and it's not even in the Top 100, so there are worse sins.

Bruno Mars is also a strong sales seller for the holidays, but the holidays won't matter. Billboard year ends in late November/early December. Re-releases - more or less - give the album a boost, but without a strong lead single, it won't do damaging numbers like the original did based on comeback hype. Bruno Mars would have enough to be the Male Artist of the Year, I think. Justin will have Top Album of the Year.

She doesnt take herself too seriously & she does all of this in a tongue-in-cheek way which is why it is quite likable and charming in a way. Bieber tries to act hard but he does it in such an obnoxious way & he takes himself so seriously so he is unlikable because of that even though his urban appreciation is much more genuine.
