I'm actually wondering whether most of the people praising it are just doing that because it's related to Marina Abramovic and so they appear intelligent/won't seem dumb for not understanding it
This isn’t supposed to be a performance art piece. It is someone doing the Marina Ambramovic method for meditation and connecting to your surroundings. This is what she puts young performance artists through to prepare them for doing performance art pieces later.
Anyone who says “this is not art” is correct, but completely ****ing missing the point.
