X Factor judge Louis Walsh says he’s hanging up his judging hat after this year’s series.
“I’m happy this is going to be my last year”, said Walsh, “I’ve been judging X Factor for ten years so I’ve done it all.”
As synonymous with the show as the eager contestants, Louis admits he’s ready to get his life back.
“It was never in my plan to be on TV but Simon [Cowell] put me there," he told TV Times News. "I’m very grateful to him but I need my life back!”
Louis will rejoin Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow, as well as returning judge Sharon Osbourne, this year. But then that's it.
Over the years Louis helped Shayne Ward win series two, before backing boyband JLS and introducing Jedward to the world.
On life after the X Factor Louis said “I’m going to be managing Shane Filan from Westlife and I’m putting together a new boyband.”
But who can possibly replace Louis? An X Factor spokesperson has said “It’s too early for us to be thinking about the 2014 judging line up.” Not that that will stop us. Robbie Williams, Harry Styles, Olly Murs… get guessing!
He was a classic part of the show though. It'll be so odd without him there.
The show will probably be a mess next year anyway. Louis, Sharon and Gary are all leaving at the end of this season, and I don't see Nicole staying as well
