I admire her talent and she's not a bad singer, but there's just something about her voice in these live videos... she hits the notes just fine, but the tone is almost unbearable. It's almost like she's just yelling.

I'm glad she lowered the key by half a step (from what I can hear anyway). Doesn't sound like she's struggling too much.

It's the tone of the song. She's sings the song as if she's trying to be Ke$ha. The song can't be sung any other way bc of the lyrics.

THIS. The song sounds so much better half step down. But the verses doesn't translate very well live. I can see why some wouldn't like her voice sometimes her tone is very piercing/screechy like at times
