Rihanna is the biggest of them all (I didn't metion her because she isn't American technically
). She's been massive since "Umbrella" and DSTM. WFL, "Diamonds", OG, "S&M", all were big hits & her albums have sold "decently". It's definitely her or Gaga.
Eminem is probably the most well-known & respected rapper but I don't think he's big enough. LTWYL was massive, partly thanks to Rihanna, I guess.
Katy, hmmm... The biggest radio stations play her songs but she hasn't scored a legit smash since H&C... She doesn't sell albums & I've never heard of her touring here. She's used as radio filler.
Surprisingly, the only American pop girl that managed to score a platinum album is Lana Del Rey (not sure if BTW sold enough).
