Legend X recently said, after selling 300,000 copies of Bionic in the US in total and getting the lowest UK albums #1 of all time:
Quote:
With Bionic I fully went in there with [the idea], "I'm going to experiment and not be commercial or pop."… I can proudly say it was ahead of its time, to be honest. It wasn't so commercialized. You had to really be a music lover, be a true fan of music and the love of being open to really appreciate that record.
But if you weren't a music person, it was just going to go over your head. A lot of the collaborations were with people that were either very underground or weren't necessarily from the pop world. I really think it was far ahead of its time and it'll be fully appreciated in the years to come.

With the power of HINDSIGHT, do you agree that the Legend was correct?
- She worked with Sia. Now others (Rihanna for example) have done similar.
- She pursued a technology/android theme. Now others (Lady Gaga for example) have done similar.
- She had songs of female empowerment such as My Girls. Now others (Beyoncé for example) have done similar.
- She worked with Nicki Minaj (whilst Nicki was early in her career). Now others (Madonna for example) have done similar.
Is the Legend the leader of the pack,
or should we instead applaud her braveness and individuality?
