Probably Music Award Shows in general.
They are supposed to reflect the popularity of the song to the General Public, but the way that it is scored is completely distorted that in the end the groups that win are the groups with the larger established fanbases.
Music shows should really just be measured on streaming and digital sales, which would appropriately represent the popularity of the song. instead, voting and SNS is becoming more and more influential in the scoring systems. Voting is easily won by groups with established fans that will continue voting regardless of whether the song is good or not while SNS is rigged because of youtube. SM artist's videos are always at an advantage because their videos get a lot of views primarily because SM's channel has more subscribers, probably because of SNSD's world wide appeal. Whats even more absurd is the fact that some music shows (Music Bank) factor in broadcasting points which basically put lesser-known groups at a disadvantage because they don't have as much opportunities and offers to appear on broadcasting shows. So in a way, music awards are 'fake' and handed (although there are some exceptions such as Ailee) to idols with large fanbases.
