We should host a funeral for Britney, Gaga, JT + Marina this week (and Ellie too since Jad had to drop out a bit ago). I feel like nobody else should get them on a label because we should honor them for the work that they have done.

Tegan and Sara Spotify Session
Preceding their performance at Lollapalooza tomorrow, Tegan and Sara visited Spotify headquarters in New York City today to record an exclusive session for the streaming service. The event consisted of an eight song set, including a song from each of their studio albums, plus a Q&A and meet and greet with the audience. About 100 fans were present to witness the twin sisters and two of their band members go on a journey through their discography, starting with 'Divided' off of their self-released debut album Under Feet Like Ours, which hit the scene fourteen years ago. As a song that they rarely play live anymore, it was received greatly by the audience, just like the song they had chosen from their sophomore album This Business of Art, 'My Number'.
“We were kinda nervous to play these oldies again, 'cause we haven't played them in so long”, Tegan addressed the absence of those tracks on current setlists, asking, “But I guess we aren't doing that badly?”, to which the crowd reacted with more enthusiastic cheering. The set then continued with more widely known hits, 'Not Tonight' (If It Was You) and 'Walking With A Ghost' (So Jealous), both reminding us once again why we love Tegan and Sara so much – it's their keen sense of beautiful melodies, paired with enchanting vocals and an emotionality that will leave you with goosebumps sooner or later.
Next was fan favorite 'Call It Off', the album closer turned hit from their breakthrough album The Con, and Sainthood's 'The Cure', two beautifully sad songs about heartbreak and failed relationships. After that emotional low (“I feel like the whole room is depressed now, let's change that”), feel good pop tune 'Closer' (Heartthrob) lifted the mood again making everyone in the room nod along to the catchy melody before the twin sisters' current single 'Youth' closed the set on a melancholy note.
The pair received standing ovations for several minutes and visibly enjoyed the appreciation, thanking their fans for the loyal support throughout all the years and dedicating the performance to them.
In the following Question & Answer session, they revealed that their new album was indeed due for release next week, and that pre-order packages would go up on their website's online store within the next 48 hours. They also announced plans for a tour to start soon after the album drops, hinted at a collaboration with a fellow Canadian artist and told fans to watch out for more TV and radio appearances this week.
Lastly, after cameras were turned off, Tegan and Sara spent another two hours meeting their fans, making sure this was an experience they wouldn't forget anytime soon.
The Tegan and Sara Spotify session will be available for streaming on Monday.
Tegan and Sara are gonna play Lollapalooza tomorrow, before embarking on another week of promo and visiting shows like Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel live as they get ready to release their new album.

She sang the first verse of 'Breaking' acoustic with the lights toned down. Right before the chorus, 'bang' and the music played. During the whole performance Loreen was alone on the stage, just surrounded by fog.
She was alone on the stage and served amazing vocals. During the bridge while Loreen was singing powerful the audience whispered and chanted. Loreen got her eyes wet and finished the performance even more powerful.
Alan: Loreen, wow, thank you for this beautiful performance, you blew my mind, and I'm sure everyone's else!
Loreen: Thank you, this was so special performance for me! Why? I got special guest watching me in the audience!
Alan: Oh, why I don't know anything about that!?
Loreen: Guys, I'm in love! I present you my new boyfriend, Andy Brown from Lawson!
Alan: OK, now that's a surprise! Loreen, thank you for all of this and all of you, buy Loreen's single 'Breaking' on iTunes now!
After the performance, the news got across all internet sites and all critics praised Loreen's vocals and her new relationship. She got 2 WW trends on Twitter, Loreen and Loreen's vocals and even 5 in the UK, Loreen, Loreen's vocals, Alan Carr, Andy Brown, Loreen&Andy. Her single 'Breaking' easily hit #1 on UK iTunes after the performance!
