BL isn't going to withstand its sales loss if they keep it album only. It'll drop to nearly half the overall chart points it would have had previously; Katy and Gaga will plow right through it. Gaga could even get multiple weeks at #1 if this isn't fixed, though I'm not complaining about that.

Perhaps it being album only is a glitch of some sort, but it does make sense that they'd want to use its popularity to shift albums.

They're not going to keep it album only for a long time. There's no need to 'guess.' Labels do this all the time, usually in the first week of sales.

It's been a long time since I've seen a label take a 400k-seller and put it on Album Only for any amount of time; it makes little sense for them to do this because whatever sales it gains for the album are not going to yield the same profits it would have received from selling alone, as strong as it was going. It could be there for another hour, or it could be there for weeks - my point is that it isn't actually a very smart move. It would need to boost sales at least 10% in albums as it would have sold during this time as a single, and having seen predictions for the album's sales, that's not so likely. It would be better if they're simply trying to get rid of the extra versions and are having problems restoring the track, but still plan to restore it very quickly.
