Are you ****ing kidding me? Like actually ****ing kidding me?
To a knee stan like you, that might seem like a lot of promo, considering RCA saw how **** of an album Fatte Female was to not bother wasting it's time with it (and the sales from "Iconic, Legendney" Britney Spears sure do speak for themselves.) What did it get? One Billboard slot where Britney halfheartedly sang and even Nicki Minaj performed better than her? The fact that she had three Top 3 singles, one "iconic" smash hit (ironically written by Ke$ha herself) and the album STILL hasn't scanned platinum? An underperforming tour that even the fans complained about? $1000 meet and greets where Britney stood stiffer than the damn Eiffel Tower? Does the list of embarrassments Britney caused for her label suffice or should I continue explaining why RCA dodged a bullet by not promoting an album Knee clearly didn't have her heart (or whatever machinery she has there as an operating function) in it?
Now, for anybody that has a fave that does a relative amount of promotion, the Warrior era literally had nothing pushing it when it comes to promo. RCA was doing amazing at the beginning by promoting Die Young at the AMA's! But after that, where did the promo go? She got the one slot on X-Factor performing C'mon. And one performance on Jimmy Kimmel? Oh and some backlot MTV performance at like 1 in the morning. She got literally no promotion the second the album came out. There were SO many missed opportunities. Had they actually pushed Warrior the week before/the week it came out, we would all be humming a different tune.
