Really I thought her singles were filled with variety. It told a story from teenage dream to being wide awake which she will transition into a smarter more introspective Katy.
There was the fun summer song, the sappy hallmark card, the inspirational song, the gritty, edgier song, the novelty song, the love lost song, the f u I'm good song and closing it with the introspective ready to move forward to the next phase wide awake song.
The bad part was that it was so formulaic that it makes her come across as a sellout to get a younger audience. Still love her though.
