A song this big is never forgotten, especially when it's somewhat become a fad. People who were pressed about the Macarena's success during the 90's likely said the same thing about it, but it remains legendary near 20 years later.

Maybe century ... but, not for the first decade of the 2000's. That will always belong to Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" unless Billboard decides to change the records and charts from years ago ...

What are you even talking about? Of course Blurred Lines couldn't be #1 of the 2000's decade, because it wasn't even released back then. That's like saying We Belong Together could never be song of the decade of the 1970's. I'm talking about this decade of 2010's, spanning the years 2010-2019, if that needs spelling out.

Clearly we didn't understand each other, but no need to be a bitch about it.
I was pointing out that Mariah will always hold that record. Therefore, Robin can't shatter that record. Therefore, that record is safe in Mariah's hands. Comprende?

Although, Mariah will always have the distinction of being the only artist to have two consecutive decade-end #1's. I don't think that achievement will be matched in a long time. I still have hope she'll do it a third time.

It's an achievement that will stand the test of time. Just like back in 2005 the rules for the charts were different than now. So, in the end, it is an achievement nonetheless. Mariah has so many accolades outside of radio ...
