It would be more shocking because Katy's TD singles did giant turds on the BTW singles. When you think of #1 on the Hot 100 you think of Katy. Katy's never had a lead single blocked, and her last 8 singles have reached the top 3.

It really isn't that much. Radio wasn't that fond of Cheers, and they rejected You Da One. Talk That Talk only got to #24 on Pop. Diamonds didn't even go #1 on Pop. Right Now is this high because it's a very generic and inoffensive song and she had a lot of radio goodwill after two big airplay hits, but it too is finally stalling because no one likes it.
