I love DLCs when they are necessary. Pikmin 3 and The Last of Us are examples of necessary DLCs. For Pikmin 3, there are so many multiplayer options they can choose to expand on, while with TLOU, I would die for even 10 more minutes of the incredible story they told in the game so it is definitely necessary. DLCs are also great for keeping the general public interested in the game, and keeping it afloat for awhile. If a game was great, but doesn't have any DLC to expand the game, people would lose interest quickly.
