Krewella Perform On The X Factor
KREWELLA DEBUTS "NEVER WAKE UP" WITH ICONIC X FACTOR PERFORMANCE
Mario: Welcome back to The X Factor folks! Today we have an exclusive performance by a trio who just released their single this morning! Khloe, care to introduce?
Khloe: Sure Mario! Performing their new single, "Never Wake Up," please welcome Krewella!
The introductory clip played, with Krewella's "Alive" music video, and much more footage. Then, the stage was set.
There was a three-floored level "house" type of structure. The top floor was filled with laser lights shooting vertically and a pole heading downwards. On the middle floor, there was a DJ table with two screens pushing out to the length of the floor. On the bottom floor, there was a pool/tank filled with people. Their clothes glowed in the dark, having different colors. They functioned their bodies to spell out "KREWELLA" with a person sitting on the steps of the pool underwater.
The set was relatively dark. Suddenly a spotlight was on member Rain Man. He put on his headphones and starting testing the gear with sick sound effects. He playeda huge siren alarm, and started making drumbeats blast through the speakers, while scratching the discs adding momentum. Then he began to play the instrumental "Never Wake Up."
Suddenly the entire stage lit up and the laser lights from the third floor began to light up, shooting from left to right. The spectacle was filled with colourblinding lasers and lights that flashed. The music stopped.
"Are you guys ready tonight?!" a voice shouted. The music paused. Everything died. The lights, the lasers, the energy, everything. The X Factor studio was 100% dark. Suddenly, the clothes from the underwater dancers glowed in the dark again. They continued to spell "KREWELLA" with their bodies. Then, a spotlight lit down on a section of the third floor to reveal Jahan. The crowd went f*cking wild.
The instrumental played again and Jahan began to sing her verse. Her vocal was rich and powerful. The lasers began to drift all over the studio and the lights flashed left and right. She danced around, jumping with hype and singing her verse. The second floor beamed again, where Rain Man was visible again playing the tracks, nodding his head and clapping to the beat. Jahan kept on moving around her floor, clinging to the metal bar that acted as the roof and continued to slay in her verse:
"Breathing deep,
crashing in -
Ready for the,
weekend -
It's all coming back,
coming back now..."
The lights multiplied as she hit the chorus. Jahan sang the chorus alone, as Rain Man began to twist the discs and adding flavors to the instrumental. During the chorus, the dancers' clothes began flashing with the lights and the studio lights began to flicker. It was an electronic, neon spectacle where Jahan's vocal continued to amplify to the audience and the viewers. The camera was shown to Simon Cowell where he was smiling, bopping his head to the music. An image appeared on the screens were Rain Man dictated the table: with the words on another screen imprinted "7.31.2013"
As the chorus neared its end, the dancers clothes' did not glow anymore and the water was dark, with sight of nobody in the pool. Jahan ended the chorus and the music began to fade out with an electrical buzzing sound fading in. The lights everywhere flashed unevenly and the lasers were dying off becoming dimmer with each motion. A dark figure began to motion to the center of the pool.
A spotlight came down onto the center of the pool to reveal Yasmine floating underwater, alone in the center. She stuck up a middlefinger (which got censored) before beginning her verse. The buzzing faded out and the instrumental played again. She lip-synced her part of the verse while miming on the glass wall facing the crowd. She flowed her body in the pool as every detail of herself was exposed to the world and she lip-sync with such effortlessness. She finished her rapped part of the verse and then Jahan began to sing from the top floor.
While Jahan was singing new lyrics before the chorus, the underwater peoples' clothes were glowing again, flashing. And so did Yasmine's clothes. The dancers were on the floor of the pool, and Yasmine was in the middle towards the top of the water just motioning to the music. Jahan continued to cruise the top floor around, working the stage effortlessly.
When the chorus kicked in, Yasmine lip-synced her vocals on a playback while Jahan continued blasting her voice into the microphone. The lights continued to flash, and Rain Man began to jump up and down in the middle floor. The screens now began showing lyrics to the song, while Jahan and Yasmine performed to them.
"I'll never wake up.
N-n-never wake up.
N-n-never wake up.
I'm never gonna open,
my eyes again..."
While the beat break took place before the bridge, Jahan started motioning towards her slide and Yasmine began climbing the stairs to reach the middle floor. Rain Man continued to jump with his arms going up to hype the crowd.
"I hope you're having a good time! Let's go!" Rain Man shouted. There was a massive beat heading into the bridge. Jahan slid down the slide to land on the land side of the floor, and Yasmine popped up to the middle floor soaked on the right side.
Both of them performed the bridge in unison and their voices were KILLER. The beat dropped heavier and their emotions were piercing through the lyrics. The screen began flashing with lights. The dancers began to do some free-style underwater, and the lasers kept shooting into the crowd from the third floor. Everything was absolutely crazy. The crowd kept on screaming with anticipation and everything seemed to be absolutely unique.
"Now I'm,
Here-There-Anywhere -
It's like,
Ha-Ha-Bang-Bang -
Slippin' on spittin' on,
slang slang -
Trippin' on hittin' on,
where you say -
T-take me away,
t-take me away -
And let's not,
come back..."
The final chorus kicked in and the two joined Rain Man in the center of the floor with the DJ table. The three of them jumped together as Jahan and Yasmine kept on belting out the vocals. They had officially gone from Supernatural Krewella to Classic Krewella. They danced around each other like they would always do as the spectacle just became more interesting. The girls finished the final chorus. Everything began to flicker and dim out. The final beat break was helping the atmosphere fade from a fantasy world back to reality. And then, after the music stopped, everything went black smoothly. The performance, was over.
Everyone in the audience gave a HUGE applause, and the judges all got on their feet to praise the performance. Krewella just stood their together in the center of the dead spectacle, laughing, smiling and waving. Jahan blew a quick kiss before the camera took off of them.
Mario: Oh my God Krewella that was absolutely sensational!
Khloe: Absolutely amazing guys!

I don't think it's horrible at all, it is very different and memorable But it's not as easy to type because of the numbers, or maybe it's just me who has that problem
