I saw, this. she is is crying because the dog was taken away from her hairdresser's family & the kids was already bonded with the dog & she loves animals. & the dog is not stupid.
Okay here is my fair share opinion. Yes, it is a dog. But dogs have feelings too. I understand Ellen was close to this dog, since she loves animals. She wants it to have a happy life with good people. But taking it to the point of crying on a show? I think that was just too much. It wasn't that serious. If anything, it made her look like a fool.
& not only that, but she's actually getting so much attention for this & it's not positive. & I think that this is her 1st screw up especially on the show. But i know how she feels, because i love animals too. But yeah the crying is a little bit over the top but shes crying because the kids already bonded with dog
LOS ANGELES - Ellen DeGeneres' talk show was put on hold for a day because of her emotionally wrenching dog-adoption drama.
"It's been a long week and a tough week and we decided to take a long weekend and be back on Tuesday," said Laura Mandel, a spokeswoman for Telepictures Productions, which produces "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
DeGeneres was scheduled Thursday to tape shows to air Friday and Monday. Instead, the tapings were cancelled and reruns featuring Jessica Alba and Queen Latifah will air on those days. A new show is planned Tuesday.
The battle over Iggy, a Brussels Griffon terrier mix, pitted DeGeneres against an animal rescue agency and, at one point, had her in tears on her show. The agency's owners complained of receiving death threats over the dispute.
DeGeneres adopted the dog, then gave it to her hairstylist's family after the dog, despite training, couldn't get along with the comedian's cats, her publicist has said.
Marina Batkis and Vanessa Chekroun, owners of the non-profit Mutts and Moms agency, claimed that DeGeneres violated the adoption agreement by not informing them that she was giving the dog away and removed Iggy from the hairstylist's home Sunday.
DeGeneres pleaded for Iggy's return to the hairstylist on Tuesday's show. She said her hairdresser's daughters, ages 11 and 12, were heartbroken when the dog was taken away.
But Mutts and Moms' owners were adamant about their decision, and a spokesman for Batkis said she wouldn't be "bullied around by the Ellen DeGenereses of the world."
At a taping of the show Wednesday, DeGeneres told the audience she wouldn't talk about the matter again unless Iggy was returned to her hairdresser.
Ellen DeGeneres' Pooch Gets New Home

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The pooch at the center of the dog-adoption drama between Ellen DeGeneres and an animal rescue agency has found a new home. Iggy was placed with a new family earlier this week, a spokesman for the agency's owners said Friday.
"We're not revealing the family's identity to protect their privacy," attorney Keith A. Fink told The Associated Press. "The dog is fine."
The tug of war over the little dog named Iggy began after DeGeneres, who had initially adopted the terrier mix, gave the dog to her hairstylist after Iggy couldn't get along with her cats.
Marina Batkis and Vanessa Chekroun, who own the nonprofit Mutts and Moms adoption agency, said DeGeneres violated her signed agreement, which called for Iggy to be returned if things didn't work out.
Iggy was removed from the hairstylist's home on Sunday during a confrontation that DeGeneres said left the woman's daughters in tears.
After DeGeneres opened Tuesday's show with a tearful plea for the dog's return, Batkis said she and Chekroun were deluged with angry messages and phone calls, including death threats.
"Ellen sitting in her yacht, sipping cognac, and these two women are devastated," Fink said Friday.
DeGeneres, meanwhile, was so upset by the incident that she canceled tapings of Friday's and Monday's shows. Reruns were scheduled to air in their place.
On Thursday's show, DeGeneres said things had "gotten out of hand" and she urged people to calm down.
"I want nothing, nothing more than that dog returned to that family," she said. "But you don't resort to violence. So anybody out there, please stop that. Please don't threaten or do whatever."
A message left Friday for DeGeneres attorney Kevin Yorn was not immediately returned.
