I don't understand what going?
I think she just wants to rest She has been working for so long now and it is only normal that after sometime you need some time to rest. I think she'll release a new album next spring and just leave this era like this.
I actually think there will be an album this year simply because last year, if I remember correctly, rumours and actual album news only started to come out a few weeks before "Diamonds" was released so maybe the same will happen this year. Besides, "Unapologetic" may still have a few potential hits such as "Jump" or "What Now" but the treatment they gave to "Right Now" - no promo whatsoever - makes me think they just threw that super generic single out there as a simple airwaves fodder until the lead single from album 8 comes out in late September.
I don't know, just my two cents, but I would like a break too even though I stan for her and always want new music lmao. Let's see
Has there been any rumours this year or her in the studio? I think it was clear she was recording another album (Unapologetic) as early as March last year. There was articles about her going to record and then in summer it was revealed she was working with Guetta.
I really think this was another disappointment as far as promotion. TTT was a good album and I think she did more promo with that album that this one. Although UA had great singles and reception, it feels like she totally wasted a great opportunity to keep this era going. If there is any solace, please release "What Now" in September.
Sometimes, I wonder what the hell she be thinking..if you're gonna release an album every year, then promote the mother****er!
She needs a break if there isn't anything else going on from UA. I don't want a ****ing album 8. I will support her, but I don't care if people drag her to the pits of hell for ignoring such a great album.
So, after 8 months, does the Navy still love UA like they did when the album first dropped? I still enjoy it but I'm forever pressed that TTT was screwed over. Forever pressed that LoudR didn't happen. Forever pressed that she got to ride Ashton Kutcher.

I still love it. It is such a great album. And tbh i'm glad that TTT was a full LP because i couldn't decide which 8 i would put on a EP because i love them all (except WAWL)

Why would she promote when she's doing so well?

But I want her to be on Katy's album just so I can get new rih music... I also want a DWT music video and for the Poor It Up video to remain mythical.

I still love UA and TTT, but there were no hits left on TTT so I didn't care but there are hits left on UA.

I still love Unapologetic. It's probably my favorite behind Rated R.

She was actually seen in studios and producers/writers were talking around May.

yes Cockiness could have been an iconic single / video for her Loud R would have pushed Loud to 9 million too so many missed opportunities
