The wait will be hard but this is probably for the best. Competition will be fierce for the rest of the year and she could easily get lost in the shuffle if she doesn't wait till things are quieter.

This would be a wise move by her. Debut singles can take some time to explode. I think her label are focussed on making 'American Girl' a hit, first and foremost. That should be their priority. There is no point releasing an album in 2 months from now if there is not enough star power behind her name to sell records in large amounts.
