Katy at her commercial best (TD) couldn't outsell Gaga at her commercial worst (BTW). The answer should be obvious. The albums artist will come out on top, just like the last two times.

Do any of you understand the concept of track equivalent albums? That's how you really measure an album's success, and it's what the labels use. TD destroyed BTW when you consider track equivalent albums.

The obvious answer is Prism. The public hasn't lost interest in her, she will continue to slay.

ARTPOP clearly Teenage Dream had 6 #1's and still only pulled 6 million WW. BTW had 1 #1 and did 7 million.

Teenage Dream had grassroots promotion, while BTW was LITERALLY shoved in everyone's face.

Basically Teenage Dream had indie-style promotion. The fact that it sold 6 million is amazing shows Legend Katy her power.
