I'm so ready for this. I might have to stop stanning after the metropolis series has finished.
I hope she experiments loads. I'm here for songs like Wondaland and BaBopByeYa. Do you think the album will be shorter that TAA as this should be only suite IV whereas TAA was Suite II & III?
She had a mini interview backstage at the Billboard Awards. When she was asked about the album all she said is that the album "will be an experience" and will be out "late summer". I need more info, ugh! Tracklist would be perfect!

I was wondering that too, but she said in an interview that it will be Suite's IV & V, so she must have decided four suites weren't enough.
Primetime, a woozy sensual vocal ballad with Miguel which interpolates the Pixies' famous "Where Is My Mind?" "ooh" section atop a spare funk beat. It's a love duet that builds on harmonies and the chorus -- "Primetime for our love/Heaven is bettin' on us" -- and unites their glossy croons so well one can almost feel them melting into one another
Dorothy Dandridge Eyes, a jazz song
Dance Apocalyptic, a pop-punk song. There are plans for this song to be used in another Covergirl Ad coming soon.
Victory, a gospel song
We Were Rock and Roll, which was already featured in a Covergirl ad played during the Grammy's. I added it the OP.
The Electric Lady, the title track which alludes to Sly & The Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay". The chorus for the song: "Electric Lady/ In a Waaay/ We can dance, we can love!" Live performance added to the OP.
So much has been happening with Janelle recently! First of all, the one and only Prince released a remix for Q.U.E.E.N., which you can listen to here and will be one of the 4 bonus tracks on the Target deluxe exclusive version of the album, which also include a remix of The Electric Lady, a cover of the Jackson 5 song I Want You Back, and a track called HYTB. http://abullseyeview.com/first-liste...-deluxe-album/
The music video for Dance Apocalyptic just came out, watch it here.
There's also a little story that goes along with it that you can read here (I found a new track mentioned on the 3rd page called 'Look Into My Eyes)
So I was on Itunes, and The Electric Lady is now up for pre order! The tracklisting shows 19 tracks, with only Q.U.E.E.N. and Dance Apocalyptic being named, (the rest say track 2, track 3, etc.) and has an album cover that I'm sure isn't the final version.
So I'd say since we now know there's 19 tracks on the album, and since 2-3 interludes are probably on the album, I'd say we will have at least 14 brand new tracks (15 including the bonus tracks!)

(C'mon people, get in! I'm the only person that's posted in here for about a month! )
Starts @0:42 It's called Givin You What You Love I guess. I can't believe this has been out almost 6 months and I've never found it until now. Not technically "new" but it's never been mentioned here, so enjoy it y'all. I really like it, it definitely has some rock influences.
Solange and Esperanza Spalding have been confirmed as another 2 collabs on the album. That brings it to a total of 5 collabs that we know of, and apparently there are even more. Also, Big Boi and Cee-Lo are remixing the title track which will be available as a bonus track on the Target edition.
