So, yeah, any song that failed to chart in the top 40 (US) or top 20 (UK) is eligible. ANY SONG - unless it charted at say, #29 in the UK but #2 in the US. Then, the bigger country trumps it.
Just don't include more than two songs by any one artist. Have fun with it!
Send me a pm of your top 20 choices by August 10th.
But just so lambs now - songs like Butterfly and The Roof are NOT eligible because they were never released as physical singles, thereby making them ineligible to chart on the Hot 100 at the time. Same for Forever, etc.
Question: What if a song was given a physical release in the UK and didn't chart within the top 20, but wasn't eligible for chart placement on the Hot 100 b/c it wasn't given a commercial release?
I love this idea SO much! I don't know how I'm even going to make a list. There are too many flops to even keep track of and so many of them are great.
