I believe Miley has looked up to Kelly as well. Katy was a stan back in the day before she was famous. Britney was inspired by Kelly and her Grammy performance in 2006 as well as the Breakaway album which Kevin Federline said Britney played on ****ing repeat constantly.

People like Bey are looked up to for their fame status and their sex appeal. Not necessarily their vocals. Celine is a great example of a vocalist who was admired by tons but she's from a different generation. Kelly is admired by pretty much the entire music industry for her vocal ability. The only reason she isn't always the first person to come to your mind is because she's not an in your face fame***** like pretty much all the other gorls. She doesn't even do red carpets anymore.

Well, Demi is the "Kelly Clarkson" of her generation and among all her Disney peers. But she's not "Kelly Clarkson" in terms of success and impact.

It's like Miley trying to be the "Rihanna", Ariana the "Mariah Carey", and Selena the "Britney Spears" of their generation. Their career moves resemble who they're trying to be, but there's no impact or power behind what they do because it's all been done already.
