Hmm.

I don't listen to anyone just to look good or sophisticated or whatever. I would call my faves legendary and iconic, but that has nothing to do with why I listen to them or identify as their stan. I truly love them and their music - no pretense here.

I do find myself and the things I've said about certain musicians to be pretentious, however.
