It's childish to linger on this
And it's stupid to just say
"I really don't love you that much,
So it just has to be this way"
I'll move on from the rage and hate
And I'll throw out every note you ever send
I know this love may have been bitter,
But it's always sweeter in the end
It's childish to linger on this
And it's stupid to just say
"I really don't love you that much,
So it just has to be this way"
I'll move on from the rage and hate
And I'll throw out every note you ever send
I know this love may have been bitter,
But it's always sweeter in the end
It's childish to linger on this
And it's stupid to just say
"I really don't love you that much,

And I'll throw out every note you ever send

But it's always sweeter in the end
Tegan and Sara on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, July 26
Getting as much radio exposure as possible while they're still in the UK, Tegan and Sara visited Radio 1 once again this morning, this time to perform on the popular program Live Lounge. The segment is known for asking artists to play one of their own songs as well as a cover, so once the girls entered the studio and were revealed as today's guests, Twitter was buzzing with speculations about which song they were going to choose.
But first, they had a little chat with host Jo Whiley.
Jo: Hello ladies, and welcome to Radio 1 once again! How are you doing? How was last night?
Tegan and Sara: Hi!
Tegan: Last night was amazing, we had such a blast! It was a great feeling to be back on stage again, performing and connecting with the audience. It didn't feel like we were gone for a year at all, people were so excited and that made us even more excited in return.
Sara: It was such a great atmosphere, all I saw in the crowd was happy faces. And all of them singing the songs along with us was beautiful. People even knew the words to Youth already, how crazy is that?
Jo: You really sound happy about that performance, and rightfully so! It was outstanding, an amazing comeback, and we're so glad that you chose London for that special occasion. How did that come about?
Sara: We wanted to start the new era off differently. usually we start with our promo in North America, but this time, coming off of Heartthrob which had a lot of support in Europe and especially the UK, we thought it might be time to switch things up a little and give the fans here some sort of advantage. So we reached out to see if it could actually work, if the media would be here for us premiering the new single here, and we got some great offers so we just went with it.
Tegan: It was a great way to give back to our fans here as well as using the opportunities we had earned through the success of our last album.
Jo: I like that way of thinking, it's like you're moving forward in your career but still not forgetting about the fans.
Tegan: At the risk of sounding corny, but our fans mean everything to us. We started out playing basements and tiny bars in front of like thirteen people, and without the support of our fans we'd still be there and never have gotten to where we are now. We know how much we owe them, there were and still are there for us so we try our best to be there for them.
Sara: Yeah, we love you guys. And gals. And everyone else. We love you all!
Jo: Aww, did you hear that! So sweet. But let's talk about 'Youth' some more, you said people were already singing the lyrics, how has the reception been so far?
Sara: It's been great, we've gotten a lot of positive feedback from all kinds of different people which has been very nice and relieving. We've only been away for a year, but in the music industry, that's a very long time because tastes and trends change quickly. You can never be too sure whether you'll be able to have a successful comeback outside of the fanbase, and we definitely wanted to achieve something like we had with Closer from our last album – not necessarily a completely positive reaction, where everyone absolutely loves it, but at least create something that does prompt a reaction from people, whether it's good or bad. Because then you know that it at least made them think.
Jo: Is that something you still worry about a lot, whether a song or album is gonna be received well, or do you have a certain level of confidence, now that you've established yourself in the music scene?
Tegan: I think we do have a healthy sense of confidence when it comes to creating music, and I also think it's something you need to have as an artist. You need to believe in your own work, because if you don't, then how are others supposed to be believe in it? You can't doubt yourself too much or you'll just get caught up in it. But on the other hand, there's only so much satisfaction you can get from being happy with your creation, it needs to be heard by others and that's like the make or break moment. Because in the end, you don't just write for yourself, we write music because we want people to feel like they can relate to it, we want them to have something that they can connect with, and you can never be too sure if that's gonna happen, no matter how confident you feel.
Jo: With 'Youth', your confidence paid off though, and does that particularly make you happy considering it's a risk you took with the different approach in songwriting?
Tegan: Definitely. I wrote this song after I heard all the stories from fans about how they were struggling with their own identity in their youth, and I wanted it to be sort of an homage to them, like a shout out for pulling through that and not giving up. At the same time, I also wanted it to be an empowering song for our younger fans who find themselves in that situation right now, to tell them it's okay and just keep going and not let others get to you. So, seeing all the appreciation for the song so shortly after its release gave me a certain sense of confirmation that my idea worked, and that I didn't fail at writing from a different perspective (laughs).
Jo: You certainly didn't! (laughs) So we've talked about the song quite a bit now, and I think it's time that we get to hear it again! You're doing an acoustic version and I have to say after seeing you play it at the signing yesterday, I might love it even more than the original. Is that bad?
Sara: (chuckles) Not at all. It's always interesting to hear an acoustic version of a song, especially when it's such a synth-heavy song like 'Youth'. It gives it a whole new personality, almost like a different song.
Jo: That's true, and you know, I think it speaks for you when you can strip down a song like that and people still like it! That shows that at the core it's a true gem.
Tegan: Without wanting to sound narcissist, there's definitely truth to that, it's always something I admire about other artists and it's always our aim to craft a song that sounds nice with full instrumentation, but can still shine without it, so thank you, we really appreciate that.
Jo: I think you really got that down, and now you get to prove it, ladies and gentleman, it's Tegan and Sara with 'Youth', start whenever you're ready ladies!
~ Tegan and Sara play Youth~
~ everyone in the studio cheers when they're done ~
Jo: Oh my, that was absolutely breathtaking. Great job, you had us all mesmerized with those vocal harmonies!
~ studio cheers and claps again ~
Sara: Thank you, thank you very much.
Jo: And that was only the first part of your performance, for the second part you are going to cover a song of your choice and we're all dying to hear what song that is!
Tegan: Well, our cover is going to be 'Spoken Words' by Ellie Goulding.
Jo: Oh, now that is sort of unexpected! We were placing bets before you came in and none of us would have placed money on that. Tell us why you chose this song.
Sara: We were brainstorming on which song to do, and this was one of the first ones that came to mind because it's an incredibly interesting song and one of our favorites out of this year's releases so far. It has a very big production and such an energetic beat, it seemed like a great challenge to turn it into an acoustic version and see where we could take it. We even asked Ellie about it, she's a friend of ours, and she was in love with it.
Jo: Oh yeah, we've already heard about that friendship after you appeared in her music video, Sara, that was amazing to see!
Sara: It was amazing for me to be part of the project! And we're actually not done collaborating yet, there's probably gonna be another video since it's a trilogy. Tegan will finally get some screen time too. (laughs)
Tegan: That was my condition for Sara accepting the offer, only if I get to play in part two of the series.
Jo: I guess that's the deal with twins, you either take both or neither!
Tegan: (laughs) In that case, yes. Luckily, Ellie was very understanding.
Jo: She is, she's such a sweetheart, I have to get her on the show again soon! Maybe she'll return the favor and cover one of your new songs, how about that?
Sara: I'd love that! Ellie, if you hear this, you have our approval!
Tegan: Most definitely. She's one of the most talented and hard-working artists of this generation and it's a blessing to be friends with her.
Jo: I couldn't have given a better description of Miss Goulding, so without further ado, in honor of Ellie, let's hear Tegan and Sara's version of 'Spoken Words'!
~ Tegan and Sara play 'Spoken Words' ~
~ studio cheers like crazy ~
Jo: Incredible! You nailed it, ladies! I never thought the song could sound like that, but you actually made it sound like a Tegan and Sara song!
Tegan: We tried our best, I think we found a good balance between the original elements and our own style, and it was really fun to play.
Jo: Well, it was really fun listening to you play and having you here in the studio! Thank you for stopping by again!
Sara: Not a problem, thank you for having us!
Jo: Any last words to our listeners? Any news, updates, future plans?
Tegan: Thank you for the support, and for making this little UK trip so exciting and eventful for us. We really felt welcome here and we can't wait to return!
Sara: As for news, watch out for some big announcements next week.. I'm talking 'Youth' video, album details, and more! You wouldn't wanna miss it, I promise!
Jo: That sounds great, we all can't wait to find out more about the album, including myself! Such an honor to talk with you. Take care and see you soon! Bye!

Beyonce Sets the Night on Fire with Her Performance at Planet Hollywood Beyonce for her performance at Planet Hollywood, made the crowd go CRAZY. The huge performance hosted by Miss Britney Spears which aired live in Times Square and Fox Five was watched by millions of people. The performance started slightly like her Super Bowl Performance back in February. Everything was dark, and suddenly a small silhouette appeared. She walked a bit before suddenly posing fiercely while at the same time the Beat of “Single Ladies” started with a huge flame appearing in the background. Beyonce then started walking with suddenly, two by two, Dancers stated appearing from the corners of the stage and started going nearer to Beyonce. There was a lot of Light effects. In total 10 Dancers joined Beyonce. While singing the verses Beyonce and the 10 dancers (all ladies) started doing the choreography. Beyonce right before the chorus did a few military movements. And suddenly when the chorus began, 8 dancers went on the side of the stage. And stopped moving and doing a military salute while Beyonce and the 2 dancers left, did the Infamous Single Ladies choreography. Beyonce then sang the rest of the song while doing the normal choreography. During the last chorus the music transitioned into a dance breakdown, where Beyonce and ALL the dancers did the choreography.
At the end of the breakdown, a beat started, the ‘End Of Time” beat, and Beyonce sang the first line and only the first line before the beat of “Crazy In Love” Started. Beyonce started dancing with all the dancers. Right after the chorus, Jay-Z appeared on stage to sing he’s part. Right after the Jay-Z part, Beyonce started singing the chorus again and at the end of it, an actual horse arrived on stage and Beyonce started singing “Girls (Run The World)”. Some male dancers appeared on stage and the females ones started to “control” them. While Beyone controlled Jay-Z! Beyonce then ended the song.
At that moment everything “froze”. No one moved from the dancers and Beyonce, and suddenly, Beyonce said “Are you ready to have a good time? Cause it’s SHOWTIME!” and suddenly a guitarist (female) appeared, with a guitar that shoots flames from the top of it and “set fire” (fake) to the stage. The whole stage was “On fire” and suddenly middle part of the stage started elevating so Beyonce and her dancers started going on them and climbing while Bey was singing and dancing. When the center parts stopped moving, started a whole new amazing choreography. The flames on stage were “dancing” the same choreo as the dancers at some point! To end the HUGE performance, Beyonce Posed fiercely and so did her dancers while a huge explosion happened in the background.

Namie Amuro Performs New Song @ Britneys H&M Event. Get's Crowd Fired Up
Today during Britneys major H&M event, friend Namie Amuro had the privilege to perform and entice the crowd when she premiered a new song entitled "Hot Girls" off her anticipated album "The Amuro Experience"
When it came time for Namie to perform everyone was nonetheless excited to see what the J-pop Queen had instore for them especially with the news of a new song being perfomed . The stage was dark and everyone in the audience became quite. Smoke start blasting up to the air on each side of the stage in a pattern form. Then police sirens started playing as the stage start becoming lit in a very amber tone with hues of red, pink and orange. suddenly it all goes blank again and a white spotlight shines in the middle of the stage on the platfrom "police officers" start sopping the area as they speak into their walkies "Suspect in sight, i repeat suspect in sight, amuro in inside, handle with full force." As the officers end their talking we hear what seems to be namies voice although she's not in sight say in a very childish slow seductive voice "Round & round they go. Where they stop no one knows?" The officers look confused and once Amuro stops speaking an explosion happens on stage and flames begin to appear in the front of the stage and on the high platform aswell, the officers go flying but seems as tho once the land they start getting into choreography. A song starts playing and namie begins rising from below the stage to the platform singing "Hot girls make the world go round. Hot girls make the world go round. Hot girls make the world go round." with a hand on her hip serving some bitchy face. The crowd begins going wild and screaming as the stage is now lit red with white spotlights going everywhere as flames shoot up occasionally. Namie begins walking down the platform eyeing her male dancers while still singing "Hot girls, make the world go round." One dancer offers his hand to help her walk down but she just smacks it out of the way and keeps walking. Once she finishes the verse her female dancers come out in Latex red prision outfits, some as a tube top and booty shorts, other's as a uniform and they begin seducing the officers. Namie goes on to sing the first verse. "They make the party rock all night. They make’em guys all wanna fight. Hey just admit it, admit it." She goes around eyeing some male dancers and teasing them only to brush them off. during the prechorus she has her male dancers line up and she goes to each on seducing them then having her female dancers drag em away . when she reaches the end she waves goodbye to the guys and the chorus hits and namie and her female dancers go into military combat style choreography, intimidating the guys. As the chorus ends, Namie and her dancers walk towards the guys but then turn around serving some major hair flips and poking their butts at them before strutting away.
The 2nd verse starts and namie and the girls spread out and pose in very cocky and confident poses as she sings "So if you want him to commit, you gotta keep yourself it" while doing so the male dancers start dancing around the girls but they seem unshaped occasionally copying some of the guys choreo. Afterwards Namie and her girls have had enough so they cut the boys off and start walking infront of them as the boys walk backwards before they all stop and the girls "kick" the boys away and start fixing themselves up afterwards. The chorus hits again and this time Namie and the girls start doing some kick boxing choreo but the boys join aswell "fighting" the girls. The breakdown hits and the girls start going crazy on the stage as namie gets surrounded by the male dancers. Namie sings "Let’s break it down now" as she starts rising from the stage and the chorus is sang in a slower tempo. Flames being shooter more ferocious as namie floats ontop of the whole stage as her dancers do choreo below. The chorus goes back to normal and namie begins to descend as the girls have their last dance battle with the guys. The song ends the same way it began, namie reaches the platform and says "Round & round they go,where they stop no one knows" the stage goes dark and namies attacked by smoke as the stage is left with flames and the female dancers heels ontop of the male dancers stomachs who are all laying on the floor.
Along with the "Hot Girls" Performance Namie also performed her current smash hit Heaven which really got the party going on within the crowd and finally she ended it off with an acoustic version of her song "Beautiful" in which ballet dancers performed behind her Audio of her newest song can be heard here

How distasteful . What can you expect from an irrelevant act? She was forced to resort to picking up beefs with successful artists to regain some relevance. Typical irrelevancy results.
