Already gone, but I still have a good relationship with my parents though.
Just left for college and decided to live on my own. I'll be moving to Nashville soon though (I've been there a few time before and it's actually really nice) so it'll be kinda difficult because that's a really big move.
No. I'm 15 and I'm definitely planning on moving out once I graduate. I hate the state I live in and I like to be alone and have privacy.
I honestly think that you should move out when you're ready, have all the bare necessities and have enough finances to support yourself. I don't think EVERYONE has to because some peoples family/parents have disabilities so they have to live with that person and help them, but if your situation isn't like that or close I think it's good to move out and be on your own.
TBH, it's very hard for young people to be independent of their parents these days. in the past, it was easy to expect someone of 18 or 19 to be able find a job that could allow them to live on their own, but now the age is closer to 23 or 24. I mean, even a college degree doesn't guarantee a livable wage anymore.
I'm 24 and still living with my parent. I was living on my own from 20-23 while I was in college, but I had almost nothing in the bank once I graduated and couldn't find a job right away, so I moved back in. I now have a decent job, but I'm living at home until about the end of the year so I can put most of my wages in the bank and have a good nestegg before I move out again.
I know a lot of people who are in their mid-20s, have college degrees and are working retail and living with their parents making $10 an hour because they can't find anything better.
It's not that common for people to move out so early here in Brazil. First I plan on finishing college and then, when I find a job and stabilize myself as an independent citizen of the world, then I'll do it.
