What are some artists / songs that are flops in the US, but are successful icons in your area?

Man Down. It's second best selling single from Rihanna in Romania.

Asia.
Westlife was the biggest boy band here. BSB and NSYNC could never.

JLo (Dance Again and Live It Up where big in my country)
Shakira's releases are also big ("Loca", "Rabiosa" and "Addicted To You" were MASSIVE)
Lana Del Rey (a flop in the US) is also slaying the Charts

Azealia Banks. I mean, she's not huge here, but 212 was pretty big here (especially in clubs) and it's the only country where Liquorice went Top 100.

I heard Xtina's Your Body every 5 seconds here. I even heard Just A Fool lol. And Lotus went gold here so I guess she counts.
Avril Lavigne, her chit gets played a lot.
Nelly Furtado gets a lot of airplay too.
