Also, Green is right. Gaga won't chart. Just Dance charted for 49 weeks, and only 19 of those were spent in the top ten. It also spent a good portion of its chart run in the lower half, so it wouldn't have many points. We Are Young charted for 42 weeks, but 22 were spent in the top ten.

If any pop girl makes it, it'll be Rihanna with We Found Love. Top ten for 23 weeks, 10 at number one, and 41 weeks overall.

Then "Thrift Shop", "We Found Love", "Just The Way You Are" "Hey Soul Sister" or "Firework" for the last 2 spots.

I don't think NYN will make it. It was at #2 for only a couple of weeks and didn't have as remarkable of a longevity in the Top 10. Firework and Just The Way You Are have a much better chance of getting in.

I think we can count We Found Love as a shoe-in. 10 weeks at #1 already puts it at 1000 points, plus the rest of its 23 weeks in the Top 10 nets it at at least about 1200 points.

Hey Soul Sister and California Gurls won't make it in either.

Thrift Shop, WFL, JTWYA, RITD, PRA, and Tik Tok sound about right.

It was the #2 song of its year, though. Outdoing HSS & CG that were monsters hits aswell.

The year end isn't calculated precisely the same way as this. Year-ends are tabulated through total points accumulated through a song's chart run. Not through the inverted point system, which is obviously adjusted. Otherwise, songs with only 16 weeks on the chart (like "You're So Vain") wouldn't be charting instead of songs like "Just Dance" that charted for 49 weeks.

Yeah, total points for the year-end were based on the accumulated points from sales/airplay/streaming, but for this one they use the inverse point system, so positions matter more than points.

Can't wait to see the meltdowns when Harlem Shake ends up in the top 3 of the year end

Guys, I'm a bit confused on some things

I was bored and did some number totals for some of these songs in question. For example, if you were to add up all of Maroon 5's "One More Night" points (using the inverse point system), it ends up with 3,314 points. However, when I did points for "TiK ToK," I ended up with 3,241 points.

By this numerical logic, TiK ToK missed out of the chart, but I'm almost certain that TiK ToK has a chance in appearing in this list, no?
