Many do, many don't. The ones that don't have nothing to hide. If the NSA was spying on me, there's nothing interesting that I do. Regardless, this has been going on for years, and its really not just the US its nearly all countries that does this.
It's really frikkin creepy but no1 cares because it's to 'stop the terrorists". Ya'll are really gonna listen to every phone call, read every email and all that stuff to "stop terrorists". There are bigger and less expensive issues...
I just really don't care tbh. It's helping to keep me safe, so that's that. I don't care if the government knows I look at ****. The Army probably already knows because of my sister's high security clearance in the Army so whatever. (They examine internet connections)
I work in the IT industry and believe me, the NSA is the last thing you should be worried about when it comes to privacy. You would be shocked at how little your private information is actually protected by the government and private industries online. Many times when you hear about a website being "hacked" and having private information stolen, the "hack" is as simple as changing a few characters in a URL.
!!! if someone told me 5/8 yrs ago that Americans were being spied on and they feel indifferent towards it, I wouldn't believe it. Certainly some sort of conditioning and brainwashing has been going on here because the amount of people who are comfortable moving into a big brother like society is worrying .
