****drop is the name of a dance move. The move involves squatting as quickly and as low as possible and immediately popping back up. The origin of the move itself has been attributed to the music video for the song "Dirrty" by Christina Aguilera, released in 2002. The move has since gained popularity amongst pop singers, being performed by artists such as The Pussycat Dolls and Beyoncé. As the move is essentially a type of squat exercise, doing it repeatedly is reported to lead to an increase in muscle strength in the thighs.
Michael Jackson has the Robot, the moonwalk, the toe stand, the Thriller routine, the Smooth Criminal bend and the crotch grab and a bunch of other moves.
Beyonce has the Single Ladies routine and the Uh Oh dance and Run the World is pretty memorable.
