Android is better at having features and being able to customize your phone. But that comes with **** security and and Virus's that can even be downloaded from the Google Play Store
iOS is better overall, but not by much. Just slightly. It needs more personalization. Apart from that, it "just works" as most people say.
But the reason why most phones nowadays are jumping ship from Android (
Samsung are even developing their own OS now) is because as more and more
everyday people are using it, more issues are being found underneath the surface of the OS that is up to Google to fix, not the phone developers like Samsung.
Android is a good OS, but it isn't solid enough which both the consumers and phone developers know.
iOS is very solid, but doesn't let the user do much except "use the phone". Neither are that great anymore.
It will be interesting to see how all the new Phone OS' will turn out with Firefox OS just starting, Jolla (which I might be getting), Ubuntu Phone and Tizen (the Samsung OS which is basically going to be a closed wall version of Android).
