In a recent UK interview with "The sun" ex-disney star Miley Cyrus has expressed her feelings about the amount of comments and criticism her last music video is receiving.

Miley thinks she should take risks as she considers pop royalty stars Britney Spears and Madonna never played safe in the business, in part of the interview Miley said: "Britney and Madonna didn't play it safe".

Britney is the most controversial female artist of her generation, and probably even the second most controversial female artist since Madonna, I don't think its that hard to understand what Miley tried to say, we all know the things Britney did on stage, in music videos, on her songs, in photoshoots, since she was (even) underage. She must be the only teenager / underage woman I've ever seen not affraid / embarrased of her sexuality. and she used it.

Yes, Xtina sang suggestive lyrics in "Genie in a bottle", but Britney did it first in "Baby one more time" and being underage.

Yes, Xtina had sexual photoshoots during her "Stripped" era, Britney did it first at 17.

Yes, Xtina tried being sexual and unapologetic and badass with "Not myself tonight", but Britney did it first with "Gimme More" after shaving her head and never apologizing.




IMO Britney is not a person that played it safe in the industry , playing safe for me are artists like "Celine Dion", or "Hilary Duff" , but Britney was never interested on being a role model in music industry and society.

and thats what Miley Cyrus knows ... Madonna was the ultimate in that aspect, she broke sexual boundaries, she was never affraid of being a woman in control of her sexuality.

well for starters she performed high as **** during an attempt to comeback at a fragile time in her career/personal life.
