I was kinda hesitant getting an Android device at first because I was afraid that it'll lag as hell but the occasional lags aren't really bothersome. The rear camera is really not necessary for a tablet and the 1080p resolution is just too much for a 7' tablet, you really wouldn't notice the difference and it'll just consume battery life much more. I'm not a fan of 1080p displays in phones since 720p is more than enough. I just hope they upgrade the RAM and get another processor. The Nvidia Tegra 3 is really good, though.
The Nexus 7 is one hell of a gaming console. It's like the PSP and Gameboy in 1 Reliving my childhood games like Twisted Metal, Pokemon, Tekken, Metal Gear and others. I'm so glad I bought this.
Android is currently winning my heart. The customization and capabilities are brilliant. I may have overlooked Android but now it's a winner for me. I cling on iOS because of the music syncing and it literally 'just works'. Other than the ocassional lags, Android is truly a winner. No wonder it gained so much attention.

The only problem with Android is it's too customizable to the point where you can download Virus' through uploaded skins and apps. My brother and sister downloaded an app (Candry Crush) from the Play Store and started getting web links on the home screen to Casino slots and **** sites. It's too easy to get virus' on things like phones? Imagine if you downloaded an app and got a virus which made you have to wipe your data?
I like the fact you can customize the look and feel, but there is a lack of security that goes with that which means you can be handing out valuable information just by downloading an app. Even the Anti-virus apps can't stop them.
iOS is better in most ways because you can use it without feeling like it's ever going to screw up. Most of the first gen iPhones still work as well as they did back then. They might just be slower running new apps but the interface is still the same and works.
It's a shame because devices like the Note 2 (and the upcoming 3) look amazing and I really want a Kindle Fire just for a different kind of interface BUT when I've had to deal with all the problems my Dad has with me having to clear his phone out of things he never even touched like widgets being added on their own or my brother saying apps don't work properly and keep crashing due to virus' etc. and yet my iPad 1 still sits there never causing me any problems, it puts me off.
I want to have an Android device but the fact that iOS 7 is bringing in a lot of the same with better integrated functionality rather than add on's and that I know my device will work the two years I have it rather than slow down like a PC once I put too much stuff on it, I might stick to the 5S. If they can fix the security issues, I would probably get a Galaxy esque phone.
