I (honestly) don't know much about Detroit, so these are surprising to me.

None of these are shocking really, Detroit is a dead city, like many other once booming cities in that area. The era of American manufacturing are long gone and has moved to China.

I need to get my ass out of this city.

I think people forget that there are actually nice parts of Detroit Campus Martius Square is absolutely amazing, and midtown Detroit has some of the best restaurants/pubs in the state. Yes, there are awful parts of Detroit (most of the city) but people need to stop ignoring the jems

The taxes are too damn high. No person or new business in their right mind would want to be based there unless they had no choice.

any pics of the streetscape? many cities in NA have dilapidated downtowns though, the population drop may be just due to people moving to the suburbs
