Selena's 'Slow Down' video about Princess Diana's death?
Selena races through the Paris streets in a vintage Mercedes similar to Diana’s on the night she was killed in a car crash.
Just over three minutes in length, the clip opens with shots of a vintage Mercedes sedan, similar to the 1994 Mercedes-Benz S280 that Diana was riding in on Aug. 31, 1997.
Selena is pictured riding in the back seat without her seat belt (bad girl), just like Diana on the night of the crash. Had Diana been wearing her safety harness, experts say she likely would have survived.
Selena’s Mercedes is shown racing along Paris thoroughfares. There’s scene around 51 seconds into the video, where the car races past bridge abutments like those in the Pont de l’Alma road tunnel.
In another scene she’s walking through a bridge tunnel at about 1:27 in the video, while singing “take it nice and slow.” Yikes! Diana’s driver was speeding close to 70 miles an hour when the car crashed.
But the really scary scene appears at around 2:06 in the video when it looks like Selena’s Mercedes is racing through the exact same Pont de l’Alma road tunnel where Diana was killed. A similar scene flashes up at around the three minute mark.
