Well the song was already almost finished last summer, so I guess the version he has heard is enough to say if it's going to slay our lives or not.
BTW was an exception though. It's not like all of her lead singles are gonna be launched as the most hyped song ever.
I prefer a lead single with longevity like Bad Romance and Poker Face than a single with hype and amazing initial sales but not so great longevity like Born This Way!
If the single is good it'll do fine no matter what!
