As far as I'm concerned, Asians, Hispanics, Jews, Native Americans, and even white people (wow!) don't get enraged at constantly at every instance of their own races' violence towards another. White on white violence is considered "normal" to white people, so why are you policing what black people worry about? Black people were mad at the young girl who was raped, killed, and thrown into the lake but did nationwide media report it? No.

um...maybe because white on white or asian on asian, etc violence hasn't resulted in drive-by-shootings that hurt 100+ people over a single weekend?

And violence is violence. I think people worry about that in general. I can understand the anger when Zimmerman got better treatment out of the justice system because he wasn't black. But the faux fear of white-on-black crime is a little over exaggerated, especially considering the numbers showing how rare it is.

Plenty of riots and protests happened when the young Indian girls got raped and murdered by other Indians.
Plenty of news coverage and protests/candle-light vigils happening in the middle east about suicide bombers, the Taliban, etc.
Nonetheless, these crimes tended to be political, which doesn't make it better, but at least gives some explanation. The other crimes are random drive-bys on July 4th, hot summer days, etc, with little kids getting shot while out for a picnic or BBQ.
So no, I don't need to worm my way out of anything because the facts speak for themselves.

My point wasn't to argue. If you reread what I said (or maybe I didn't say it explicitly), my point was that I wished black people could be as outraged about the violence going on in their own communities, as they are about this one act of violence. I have never seen rioting, protests, road blockage, etc. when it came to grisly murders and shootings, and in some cases, the black community defends the culprits from the justice system. So many witnesses refuse to testify in a court of law about gang violence, thereafter leaving the system no choice, but to set violent criminals free to re-terrorize bleak neighborhoods. And then, these same witnesses are marching on the streets for Trayvon Martin.
In my opinion, if there's anything to riot about, it's what I just said above. I don't mean for anything to be a fight, but the shock and outrage over one death, while tragic and certainly steeped in racist overtones, would do wonders if applied to the more disgusting culture that is thriving in inner cities.
