Zedd and Foxes are nobodies in the pop music scene. Clarity going platinum is a big deal for both of them because they are completely unknown. If it keeps up the longevity, it could also go 2x platinum. He also worked on Beauty and a Beat, so he is definitely capable of producing hits.

By the way, Zedd had a hit in Japan with Spectrum and he also worked on Namie Amuro's new album, which just went #1 and is (apparently) already the highest selling solo album of the year in Japan so far. Can you imagine the slayage Gaga and Zedd combined are going to bring in Japan?

I'm a bit nervous and don't know what to expect ..

People are scared of the unknown. That's all it is really. We've not heard a single thing that Gaga and Zedd or Madeon have worked on as a solid piece yet.

Voice of reason. No one has been brave enough to put out more EDM, so they just put out faux-EDM from artists like Dr. Luke. What EDM needs is a big name like Gaga to give it a chance and put it out there.

That's true. Gaga just needs to find something that works with the general public again. She'll be fine though. Just Dance and Poker Face took pretty long to catch on hence their longevity.

I know when Gaga works with an artist she puts her stamp on it but sometimes it worry me(Wale - Chillin ft. Lady Gaga), and in Zedds case... I cant see him sacrificing "his sound" for Lady Gaga. I might be wrong but I just don't see it. Now, keep in mind I'm only speaking about his productions, it might be different if he is also a feature.

Madeon on the other hand, I have no big problem with him.. I haven't heard enough or seen him in interviews enough to truly judge him on working with Gaga.

Yeah, I agree. Clarity's been slowly climbing on iTunes for months and received boosts from The Voice and Glee, but they are completely unknown so they rise and fall slowly.

I think lead single front-loading is going to be a tough thing to avoid for Gaga since it will probably be the most talked about release this year so far. Everyone's going to know about the lead single and it will get a lot of press so it's not going to have a lot of "discovery" sales after the first one or two months.

Thank You! You just condensed my hundreds of thoughts into three sentences. The fact that Lady Gaga is daring enough to work with a sound that others are afraid to use makes this all very exciting. I can't wait to see where it goes and it how it impacts the EDM community.
