No matter how well it does, ATRL will consider ARTPOP a flop unless it moves 8m+ copies. The standards here are way higher when it comes to artists like Lady Gaga or Beyonce.

It won't be Lotus/Warrior bad, but I don't think the album will be as big as her stans think. Of course I could be wrong as noone can know for sure, but I don't see her ever getting back to the Fame Monster levels of popularity and success. It also depends on how the music is, but I have a feeling it's going to be as pretentious as BTW and that the lyrics won't make sense to most of the GP. The GP aren't going to get "TEA". And you can't judge it's performance based on the attention the press release has gotten. The media =/= the general public.

I also see her stans are still trying to forget what Gaga and her team were saying about Born This Way before it came out.

We need to hear the music first. But I'd say no for now. Her fanbase is too big still for it to truly "flop", which IMO would be less than 2 million globally. I think she's guaranteed 3 million but anything more than that depends on the music and hits. I'd consider 3 mil a severe underperformance btw.

People seem to be forgetting, or rather not acknowledging that most of her (still massive) sales from BTW were due to hype and her name, which says a ton. Her singles all fizzled quickly and never even caught on in major ways.

In my opinion, It will have a good opening week and the first single will chart high, due to her fanbase and interscope's promotional strategies, next singles will flop since the gp will probably not be interested.
