Well, they'd run the risk of another one of their artists (Gaga) being stuck at number two behind Robin. Plus, they'll really want people to buy the album anyway. His ariplay + streaming would be so high at that point that he could literally sell 0 copies and still chart extremely high. Remember, singles tend to get a streaming boost during album release week, too. And crossover hits like this do motivate album sales, so there will also be a complete my album effect in there too. Not as drastic as Taylor's, but still.
Besides, Interscope isn't exactly the best label out there anymore.
