My main problem with that thread is, more than the fact Zimmerman was acquitted it was moreso people (from that thread and FB, Twitter, etc) glorifying the verdict as if it were a victory because Trayvon was "such a gangster/had a weed charge/was failing school" as if those notes was supposed to be justification for he being killed. A couple of posters in that thread have left a bad taste in my mouth.

I've seen that get posted in the other thread. It's a mess really.

Still, some of the hicks and gun nuts will still act like the sky is falling even if slight changes but they would be quick to deny us (gays,blacks,anyone that doesn't identify as Xtian,and women) our civil ights.

That is why I won't give a flying **** when gun laws get changed around here.

And yes, I believe SYG should be repealed.

No matter how ****ed up it is, he was acting within the law in Florida.

This does not mean he was found innocent. There is a difference.

Don't direct your outrage at the jury or at white people, direct it at the terrible justice system that lets this happen.

That's what hurts my heart. Like gah can you imagine having your son just killed like that out of nowhere and not getting any type of justice for it. They have to live with that pain forever.

I've seen the idiocy on City-Data forums,the local news' website,and Huffpost in addition to FB & Twitter just to name a few.

I'm not gonna resort to violence (that's not me\y thing as I dislike fighting) or putting it on every white person out there, but Florida's justice system is a joke, and tbh IDC if GZ dies.In fact,i'll probably go eat a slice of cake from WM to mark the occasion.
