RCA probably thought a covers album was his only chance at success this era. They probably told him he could do a covers album or they would drop him. Obviously they won't give someone who isn't selling full creative responsibility .

I hope he finds a label. Trespassing was an amazing album and no one can call it a bad album. It had an 80 on metacritic too

All of them need to change labels, so that RCA has nobody and is forced to shut down.

They should have known it was their damn own fault he wasn't selling.

And creative differences? That reminds me of something they've done to someone else before.

Kesha and Adam can switch labels and record a duet called 'Creative Differences'.

RCA needs to get shut down, they're the worst Sony label out there. They can't do anything right.

A covers album didn't sound bad, though. I can respect his decision but to be completely honest, I really don't see Adam being successful in the future...and that's even if a major label signs him. The covers album did seem a bit "this [Adam Lambert] is a sinking ship so let's do something quick and easy" but I would've liked to hear his take on some of the greatest classics of the 80's. Like I said, I respect his decision and wish him the best on future endeavors; I can see him taking up acting.
