Rihanna to Debut New Single at the VMA's

A shot has been released from the new advertising campaign for Rihanna’s new fragrance Rogue, which is due to hit the UK market late this year.

The shot shows Rihanna with her now trademark undercut on display and blonde blow-dried hair falling over her furthest shoulder. The wild-child singer seems worlds away from her studded, tattooed and crop-top wearing self as she perches on top of a chair in the shot, the strap of her black slip falling gently over her shoulder.
From what we can see of the campaign thus far, it seems that we can expect a more subtle and refined scent in Rihanna’s new fragrance, which will first grace US stores in September. We are promised a blend of lemon blossom, cyclamen, jasmine, rose, plum and suede over musky base notes of woods, patchouli, vanilla and amber. All in all, a feminine scent with depth. Of her new venture in Rogue Rihanna said ‘People are always changing and evolving and with Rogue I wanted to switch it up to reflect who I am today. I made it for all women, for every mood, because we all want to project our true selves’.
Rogue will join Rihanna’s earlier fragrances, Rebelle and Nude and Reb’l Fleur. Whilst Rebelle is associated with the flame-haired Rihanna of old, the Nude campaign showed a platinum blonde Rihanna laughing girlishly at the camera. Rogue will, it seems, present an altogether more sensual and worldly side of the songstress to the fragrance world. We can’t wait to take a closer look.
In the meantime the ad campaign which is rumored to feature new music from the pop starlet, is currently being filmed. The track supposedly titled, "Empress" will be featured, followed by a performance at the 2013 VMA's. The VMA's are airing on August 25.
