ShockTillYouDrop.com talked today to new Saw 5 director David Hackl, who says they are outlining the story for the fifth installment now with writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. The next film is scheduled to begin shooting after the first of the new year for a release in October of 2008.

Alexa Vega, who stars in Saw IV director Darren Lynn Bousman's horror musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, told us that she has been begging Hackl to be killed in Saw 5, but who knows if she'll end up being in the film.

David Hackl was the production designer of Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV, as well as for "Repo!". He also did second unit directing for Saw III, Saw IV, and is doing so for "Repo!".

OMG! is that like a record or something? We have been having new Saw movie every October since 2004! I actually don't like the Saw movies, but how many of them there going to make? 5 is like alot!

omg. i have only seen the first one too. and now the fourth one is coming out. and they are already thinking of making 5 and 6? geez.

i wished hostel would do the same.. i think i like hostel better. even though it's a lot more disturbing and hard to watch.

mm...I think he had a good motive for killing the people he did. How many have you watched Johnny? I absolutely love those movies (sometimes I even agree with the killer :X)

I can understand how the person might view it and where they are coming from, but at the same time it's a ****ing film.

Anyone who thinks like that are very closed minded people who need a reality check. The person who wrote that is looking beyond the fact it is meant to entertain in a way of giving you that adrenaline rush and fear. It makes it seem like the person and people who think like that are saying anyone who watches these movies finds enjoyment in seeing people killed and tortured, and that's obviously not true.

I'm going to go see the 4th one next week with some friends and then we're going to some haunted houses! It'll be great!

^lol me too, except afterwards we're going to Six Flags for frightfest.
