Respected or not, Twilight is just so...addictive, like you can't put the book down.
It's 100% possible to put it down, especially New Moon. I was so sick of her "the Hole in my heart. Edward. *cries* Auch my heart *cries*" I put it down for 6 months or something
Not when both the movie and book series are already forgotten... Not to mention that there was talks of remaking all of the movies with a different cast and director.
