I don't think people understand this whatsoever. There were at least five people who brought confederate flags flown to my 4th of July party, and three of them were black. It has nothing to do with Slavery.

What is the point of a White History Month and why are there people defending this? With the Paula Deen threads and the amount of recent social issue threads, I don't even know why I'm surprised.

people have different ideas of what the "south" is and what states are considered the south.

what's the point when history in general is mostly "white" history? you're either trolling or you're ignorant as hell.

1. The Confederate flag represents the Confederate states who FOUGHT FOR slavery. The Confederate flag is well known symbol of hate. The freaking KKK uses the flag for gods sake.

2. White History Month is is 24/7 and it's those who are oblivious to the "white privilege" that don't recognize that. We have months for all types of people to celebrate their culture in a society where the praised culture is the WHITE American culture. UNDERSTAND THAT. Don't be stupid and ignorant. Educate yourself about these months. Black History Month isn't going anywhere. Hispanic Heritage Month isn't going anywhere. Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month isn't going anywhere. LGBT History Month isn't going anywhere. White History month won't ever exist, get over it.

Well if most humans + the people who actually use it (trust me, I've seen many people who fly it down here say that) in America perceive the flag to be for slavery then what's the point is bringing it around¿ To be c00l and h!pst3r?
