Madonna has put her Wanna Be’s in quandaries.
The singer’s fans once found it easy to dress up — or rather, down – as their favorite star. A vest over a T-shirt, petticoats, a skirt and some fish-net leggings did the trick. Must-have accessories included rhinestone and leather bracelets, possibly something with
small spikes.
And voila: the trash look.
“She used to be ugly as sin,’ said Karen Davis, 26, a Madonna fan and clothing store manager in North Dallas. “A real skank monster.’
But a new Madonna stepped out of a private 727 at Dallas Love Field on Saturday. Her hair was short and bleached blond, and she wore a stylish beige bouffant dress with a black belt and black flats.
The Material Girl, who will perform at Texas Stadium Sunday night as part of a 16-city tour, has upgraded herself from trash to class.
