Okay, last night was EVERYTHING!!!! I missed the whole Janelle Monae debacle. I was too busy
stalking looking for Tamia to get an autograph after her performance....to no avail
My friends were seated and seen everything, their crazy behinds was chanting "BEYONCE" too.
Now first, TAMIA WAS RAW, LOVE MY BISH!!! Bey was late to start the show like everyone already know, but it wasn't for her not being ready. The screens weren't functioning correctly from what we seen. You know Bey wasn't starting till everything was on point. The perfectionist she is....someone got fired that night, no doubt.
Anyways, the crowd was INTENSE leading up to her performance. Everyone were really excited to see Bey and yes, people of all ages were there (grandmas, grandpas, mothers, fathers, aunties, uncles, college students, HS students, toddlers, etc.). It was fun and they had the WOBBLE and CUPID SHUFFLE playing to keep people entertained till they got things together. Now you KNOW all us black folk was acting a mess. People line dancing, electric sliding, and swinging out all over the aisles. If you haven't had the pleasure to experience the ESSENCE FESTIVAL, I truly feel for you. I have not missed one in the past 8 years.
Beyonce was everything I expected and more. She stayed encouraging people to get up and dance because ain't nobody got time to sit in your seats for two hours doing nothing. It's a party, so you need to get up and dance. You know she was acting up with the vocals, as always! LOVE her costumes for this tour. She did that!
