@Slw Pamela the blonde icon of the 90s up there with Marilyn Monroe, Madonna and Britney? LOL...
.. I don't think so, that place is for Princess Diana

Dinorel. I was referring to Blonde Bombshells (sex symbols).
What on earth was Princess Diana a sex symbol to?

Pamela was the ultimate. I was in elementary and middle school during the 90s. I remember she was the ultimate peroxide blonde bombshell. To think, I actually watched baywatch because of ha.

I can't believe the Queen turns 15 years in the business.
Nice way to reach the 15th anniversary, the last thing I remember from the Queen is that her last album debuted at #1, RIAA gave her a Platinum album, she had 3 top 10 singles, recently released one of the biggest singles of the year, she was the highest paid female musician last year, and received the MTV video music award Vanguard award.
what a cute way to reach 15 years, definately better than debuting outside top 5 with your last failed -Gold- album, 0 top 20 solo hits, unable to tour, loss of money and being ignored by award shows.

Yep. Follow that with another #1 platinum album, #1 single, top 10 singles and successful Vegas run.
The shade at Christina. I think it's hilarious.
Britney literally represents my generation. I was a freshman in high school when she blew up 1999.
99% of those lessers came for Queen saying she couldn't sing and that Christina would outlast her and be the new Whitney/Mariah.
She's the new Debbie Gibson they said...
She won't outlast Christina they said...
She's only popular for one single they said...
She'll never outlast the teen pop era they said...
I graduated during that transition where teen pop was dead and it was undetermined which pop stars would make it and reinvent themselves (2002)
She'll only be popular for being young and oversexed they said...
Ha. Meanwhile, I was looked at crazy when I said Britney would be around because after the spice girls/hanson the game changed and being the total package and being able to have interpersonal skills will overcompensate for weak areas. Our generation is not about classic music. It's about a snapshot in time of what was hot at different moments and it's about who makes the biggest impact and has the strongest pop culture moment.
And I was the crazy one for saying that.
Then I went to college the same semester when Justin used Britney to sell his debut album September 2002.
She won't be able to last since teen pop is dead they said...
Now that Avril lavigne is on the scene her career is over they said...
Justin just burst her perfect pop bubble image and her career is over they said...
After changing her image into something that walmart cashiers would be envious of...
Now she looks like trailer trash and is no longer a sex symbol, she won't last they said...
She's a homewrecker and is no longer sexy they said...
She's a mother and has no talent so she can't comeback they said...
Her life is a soap opera and it's too much to overcome they said...
Graduated 2006-
She's had two babies back to back, she'll never be able to comeback her life is a joke they said...
She's crazy and a trainwreck and is not talented enough to turn things around they said...
She lost custody of her kids to a freeloader and can't possibly live another year they said...
AP already posted her obituary so the inevitable will happen they said...
My point is that Britney wrote the book on the good/bad/ugly of the music industry.
The rise and fall and the comeback and longevity.
She set trends when necessary and followed when necessary but made sure each time that her moments were memorable. Shifted her sound but still kept Britney apart of it to elevate her to her own genre of pop music in a league of its own.
She is a true rebel that went against everything she stood for and everything that people believed she needed to maintain a career and the btch is STILL winning.
WHEN WILL THEIR BLEEPING FAVES be so entrenched in pop culture that the world revolves around ha.
I'll wait...
